Secret Sister Card

Here is a card I made for my mom to give her secret sister in her sorority. The question marks are on there because this is the last month of the exchange and they have to guess who their secret sister is.

Recipe:
Purse and flower cut at 5-1/4" from Create a Critter
Question marks cut at 2" from Lyrical Letters
Envelope cut at 6" from Just Because
Sharon cut at 1" from Lyrical Letters

Yard project

Here is what my husband and I were working on this past weekend. I had bought a Teddy Bear Magnolia tree and my husband wanted to make a retaining wall around it so we could sit under it when it got bigger. Working out in 100 degree weather for an hour and a half was no easy task but we got it done. We didn't think this one out to well though because when we went to lay the flat square tops on there, they left a big gap between each one and so he had to fill it in with the mortar. They don't work so well when you are working with a curved wall. Oh well it didn't turn out too bad. Hopefully my new tree likes it's new home and will provide us with some great shade in the future. The first picture is of the bloom on our Plumeria tree.

French Manor home decor creation

Here is my first attempt at using the French Manor cartridge and my first home decor creation. I used a 8x10 canvas to Mod Podge my background paper to. The background paper is from the DCWV Nana's Kitchen stack. I cut the window out at 9" using the Ripe Avocado paper from Papertrey Ink. The rest of the papers are various colors from the Recollections packs. I cut the branch out at 4" and the bird out at 1-3/4". The corner branches were cut at 1-1/4". I used the Cuttlebug folder Plum Blossoms to emboss the red paper. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. I really enjoyed making this since I had never attempted to create something like this before. I can see myself trying to make more items like this since they are fairly easy and inexpensive to make. Thanks for looking.
